Adventure Announcement

Hello again Reader,

Today marks one week out of six that I’ve been back on land. Five more and I’ll be back AT sea. Time flies by too fast…

I’ve finished the short story, and though I’m happy with it, I feel that it could be better (as every writer feels about his or her work). But, regardless of whether it’s satisfactory or not, I will be returning to the Limbo Chronologies! Shortly…

Vacations within Vacations

Back in summer me and a friend of mine from my Burger King days planned a trip for the following winter. We would go far up north to Kilpisjärvi, (see image for reference), and spend a week or so hiking and ice fishing. The planned trail is a little under 100 kilometers, (62 miles for you across the Atlantic, or 187476 long cubits for you in the years B.C.), so the trip in total, once you include driving there and back, would be around 6-8 days.

Now, technically we’re in spring already. In Finnish we have a saying: “Maaliskuu maata näyttää,” which is roughly, “March shows / bears the ground / earth,” indicating that winter is over because the snows are melting and one can see the earth beneath. Also, “loskapaska” abounds. A direct translation would be ‘slush-shit’. Regardless, we shall be embarking on that trip. I shall be leaving on the 18th and will be back sometime the week following.

Needless to say, I won’t be writing up there, nor will I be posting. There is no internet.

But! I will endeavor to write up an enjoyable post before I leave which I’ll have timed to be published automatically on the 21st.

I’ll try and snap some photos on the trip to share with you guys. Maybe I’ll take a little notebook with me to scribble down all that happens, and I’ll write you guys a little travel log.

Hey, that’s a great idea!

Can’t help it.

Thanks, y’all for the read. I know things have been on the shorter side for some time, and as I stated earlier, I’m trying to get a nice long and coherent one for you for next Saturday.

I hope your spring has started well, and though I won’t technically be seeing you next Saturday, you will be hearing from me. (How ominous).
